A Piggy BedSpread is a washable, reusable, absorbent ‘bed-spread’ made of 3 exclusive components sewn together to create a custom fitted bedding system (***CAGE NOT INCLUDED***). This bedding system is a great alternative to costly and consumable bedding products such as Carefresh, Pine shavings, or pellets. This Piggy BedSpread is designed to be used specifically with a Hagen Living World Deluxe Habitat. They come in two sizes, Large (37.8″L x 22.4″W x 22″H) and X-Large (46.9″L x 22.8″W x 24″H). We recommend two wash and dry cycles for your Piggy BedSpread prior to its initial use to insure proper wicking and to allow for expected shrinkage. Sweep up hay & droppings 1-2 times a day. After a week (or more frequently if you have multiple piggies) remove your Piggy Product from the plastic tray and brush off hair, hay & droppings. Machine wash your Piggy Products in warm or cold water using laundry detergent that doesn’t contain fabric softener. Fabric softener will cause your Piggy BedSpread to stop wicking the urine away from the surface and into the middle absorbent layer. Machine dry on LOW to MEDIUM heat and be certain to clean the lint filter afterwards which will be filled with hair. Sanitize your washing machine by running a cycle of hot water and ½ cup of chlorine bleach. Now you’re ready for the next load for the rest of your family.

Clean and cozy for 2 guinea pig babies! I was tired of tracking bedding through the house, so decided to try fleece. This liner fits the cage perfectly, and is so cozy for our 2 little piggies. I put a litter box with bedding at one end of the cage, and sweep up droppings/change the litter box daily. I also spot clean with a vinegar/water spray as needed. Virtually no smell if we change the liner twice a week or so. We liked it so much, we purchased a second liner a few weeks later (in the other pattern), so we’ll always have a clean…
Very highly recommended. Huge time saver! Prior to buying this, I had been using fleece blankets with absorbent liner underneath and had a problem with my girls burrowing under the bedding. It used to take me up to 40 minutes to clean their cage and I do it twice a day. With this new liner it takes me 5 minutes! All the urine gets wicked away and scooping poop is a breeze. They can’t burrow and it looks so neat. I bought more and now have 4 because I love it so much. Wish I had bought these initially. I highly recommend it.
Easy to clean and comfy for Guinea Pigs and saves money It is easy to clean however you have to make sure to clean it every 3 or 4 days or it will stink. Also if you have a hard time getting it to wick soak the bedding over night in white vinegar then wash it next day with borax and detergent that has no odor, and I use a bit of dawn dish soap and a pinch of clorox and it wicked perfectly for me. Also saves you money in the long run instead of buying bedding every week so that is great.
