What every bird needs My cockatiel loves water and I always come home to find debris in the water bowl. I ordered this product and installed it. Within a day he was drinking from it and after a couple more days I removed his water bowl for good. I feel like it was money well spent to ensure clean water and better health for my pet. Not secure on critter nation I can’t actually speak to the bottle’s workability very well. All I know is that on my critter nation cage, there was no way to secure this very well. It doesn’t have the indented area that some bottles do for the spring, nor does it have a flat side, and the spring is ALL it has so it started sliding around right away. Wouldn’t stay put at all. The glass is nice and thick I was looking to replace my birds’ (canaries and finches) older plastic bottles with glass. I bought two of these and they have not leaked at all. The glass is nice and thick. However, I give the bottles lower stars because the neck on the bottle is really small, making washing more challenging. It’s narrower than standard 8 oz bottles. Also, the threading is such that when the the caps are snugged down to make a good seal, they are then pretty hard to remove. Maybe it’s an isolated batch, but…
