My hamster escaped, and died I bought this caged and my hamster escaped through the side holes, which are poorly shown in the photos provided. I covered them with tape, and then my hamster got out through the opening of the bars. Sadly, my cat killed her. Please don’t buy this cage. There are much safer ones on the market, and I regret ever taking the chance with all the negative reviews.

The best hamster cage I’ve ever owned, but not flawless Bertie is all settled in his new cage and I am extremely happy with it.
