Supplement this with Oxbow w/ meat and/or fresh fruit/veg and meat I bought this to supplement my rants non-vegetarian Oxbow food and they love it. They loved it as if I am handing them a treat. I intend to buy more of this when the time comes, simply because they could do with the vegetables. I will not keep this as their main diet however, because I like to feed my rats oysters and beef liver too ie keeping their diet as close to their wild friends, as possible. I am a vegetarian myself, but don’t wish for my beliefs to interfere with their health, values…

Approved by Rats Rats love it, and it’s plant based!UPDATE: my rat ended up having an allergic reaction to the food. She was very pink on her skin, extremely itchy to the point of thinning her hair. My rat is now on an antibiotic and I have to bath her with anti-itch shampoo once a week. (Until better). My other rat loved it and had no issues. I’m not 100% sure if the main source of protein was soy, but that is a very common allergy. Still think it’s a great food. Just a friendly warning.

I have tried weaning them off the other two foods, but most of them end up wasting most of the Oxbow. At first, when I started mixing the different foods together, most of them would pick out the other…
