Healthy food, the way to go. If I was going to start with a new guinea pig, this would be the only food I would feed them. Mine started on another brand, so I mix half and half. A good hay and I give mine fresh fruit and veggies at night. Just keep in mind, after personally having over a dozen guinea pigs over the past 15 years, they have been over breed. Not Low Calcium! On the Verge of Bladder Stones Immediately After Switching Despite having done my research on what to feed my piggies (what vegetables, that is) to keep them happy and healthy for many more years to come, I did not have a clue about the importance of the quality and content of the pellets. The Best Food on the Market! When I first got my boys, they were eating some colorful mix filled with nutritionally poor “treats.” I quickly switched them over to this food – and they love it!
