Great bottle, Have had zero leaks. Better than Kaytee’s similar bottle. I got this for my guinea pigs because it is very similar to the glass Kaytee bottles we’ve used in the past and liked. You can’t tell in the picture on the listing but it does have a flat back and a floating turtle water level indicator. It doesn’t leak if you put the top on correctly. I like this glass bottle, but it’s fiddly. You absolutely must make sure that the rim and rubber stopper are completely dry before putting them together. And the metal screws top must be on absolutely straight, which can take a few tries. That’s the trick, otherwise you’ll find a big puddle in your guinea pig cage within an hour. But, if you get it together just right, the bottle does not leak and it’s very high quality. It doesn’t leak! I much prefer the glass bottles, because I don’t like the idea of plastic molecules sloughing off into the water. According to what I read, this happens quickly, esp. in sunlight, so even changing water each day doesn’t prevent plastic from entering the water. The other big plus for the glass option is that glass does not degrade over time, as plastic can (and has, with splits and breaking of my bottles for my birds).
