not for adults, harsh on stomach this product shouldn’t be sold as adult food; it has no timothy hay, just alfalfa, which is too rich for adult cavies…I only gave her a couple pieces and every time she squeaks in pain when she has a bowel movement; when I stop feeding her this food her bowels improve…it’s a shame I have to throw away an entire bag of food

Not Healthy Ingredients I do not know why this Guinea Pig food is getting so many good reviews. Just because your Guinea Pig likes eating it, it DOES NOT mean it is healthy for them. It’s the equivalent of humans eating fast food – we might like it, but it isn’t good for us.The Oxbow food wasn’t available when I was re-ordering, so I thought I would try this, not closely looking at the ingredient list. When we received it, I was shocked to see so many ingredients that should NOT be in Guinea Pig meal:…

Guinea pigs AND my rabbit love this stuff My guinea pigs and even my rabbit love this food. It’s extra hard so it makes them have to chew on it which is great for grinding their teeth down. For some reason my rabbit also loves it over her own food. It’s high quality stuff. A little on the pricey side for me but my daughter insists we buy this “healthier” food for the little poopers.
