READ THE UPDATE! important for small animal safety. My hamsters a chewer. I didn’t want to keep buying new expensive huts that weren’t meant to be chewed so I got this one. I know it’ll get chewed on. She’s chewing on it now. But that’s why I got it. So far she likes it and I’m happy with it. Do not buy this for your hamster. I have bought two of these for my previous hamsters and will never buy it again. My last three hamsters died suddenly for no known reason. Happy and normal one day, gone the next. I started doing research to find out what could be causing it and found the thing they all had in common was this hut. It has wood dust in it that hamsters cannot digest. Typically a hamster will chew on wood but will not eat it, with this being a mix of wood and honey they eat it right up. DO NOT buy this for your…
Great chew log, I wouldn’t leave it with a rabbit unsupervised. My rabbit loved eating down the sides of this log, making loud noise as she wore it down and ate the log into two pieces lengthwise. I’m not sure how turning her head sideways to eat long grooves into the sides to cut it down its length like a wood-like hotdog bun, but she’s the expert in deconstruction, not me.This log was a great way for my rabbit to explore her artistic expression, moving in a more post-modern faux log deconstruction phase while maintaining her roots in cardboard…
