happy pigs Our guinea pigs are about 5 years old and previously lived in the Midwestern Habitat cages. Ideally, this (JUMBO) cage is big enough for 2 guinea pigs, but with the balcony, 3 pigs could be comfortable. I love the hard bottom. Easy Assembly, Easy Accessibility to Inside, Purchased the Jumbo Habitat as the new home for my son’s new guinea pigs. Being a first time piggy owner, I figured going bigger would be a better bet then a starter cage. I have zero experience in animal cages but I have to say, I was and am not disappointed by this cage. EASY TO KEEP CLEAN! Turns out that I really really love my bunnies! Before I had sort of make shift cages ( large metal dog cages) but turns out the bunnies don’t care for tall cages. They like the compact cage with the low roof for a more secure feeling! I assembled this cage myself (surprisingly). I opted not to use the hay tray or the black ladder.
